okay .. i noticed on treadmills that some treadmill belts are smooth like the texture is smooth and some belts have like rivets or are rough or whatever.. why is this and what is the difference is one type better than the other.. what the purpose?you could just say you don't know
Treadmill belt problem?
I have a pro form treadmill. I step on the belt and it stops, but it runs fine if no one is on it. I've tried lubricating it with sillicone. I've tried tightening it like it says in the manual. But neither one of these things work. Does anyone else have any troubleshooting ideas. Or has this happened to you? Thanks

Treadmill belt slipping - is it a lube issue?
O.k. so I have a nordic track treadmill and I had an issue with the belt sliding to the right. I fixed that according to the manual and got it centered again. Now, however, I'm on it and it sometimes tends to " slip" like when you're running on it and the belt kind of jerks a bit making you feel like you're going to stumble. Is it because the belt needs to be tightened? Is it because the belt needs to be lubricated?Any suggestions?
New Treadmill Belt Has a Weird Smell?
I bought a treadmill 4 days ago and I noticed a weird smell in the room where it is. The belt smells like onions I have wiped it down with the lysol cleaner in a bottle and it still smells, so I tried wiping it with fabuloso all purpose cleaner and that still didn't help. Is this a normal smell because it's new? anyone else experience this with a new treadmill?
