How do we replace a treadmill belt?
I bought a replacement belt, but it did not come with instructions.

Why does my treadmill belt stick with each step?
When I go for a walk on my treadmill, its like my weight stops the belt from being able to move and it just sticks for a second until it pushes me along. It makes it feel extremely unnatural and it doesn't really change with speed, however, its extremely less noticeable when I run. The other thing that I've noticed is that the belt has a tendency to shift and rub up against the right side of the treadmill. My boyfriend who is much lighter than I am has the same problem with the belt sticking, but not with the belt shifting when he walks. We tried tightening it, but after he ran on it, it went back to the original problem and I don't know if it was really ever fixed.Has anyone ever run into this problem and how did they fix it?this is the treadmill that we have nordictrack.com webapp wcs stores servlet Product2 12401 10301 118909 1 59002gobadine if the belt is too tight, then why does tightening it temporarily relieve the problem? it seems like it won't Stay tight enough for us to walk on it more than once.

okay .. i noticed on treadmills that some treadmill belts are smooth like the texture is smooth and some belts have like rivets or are rough or whatever.. why is this and what is the difference is one type better than the other.. what the purpose?you could just say you don't know

My treadmill belt gets caught up when i run on it beacuse it hasnt been used in years....the belt definetly needs lubed.... but the lubes made for a treadmill are so expensive for a one time application... is there anything i can use thats cheaper that wont harm or ruin the treadmill... silicone spray? lithium grease do any of those work? or something else that isnt an arm and a leg to buy...thanks
