What will running on a treadmill for at least 30 minutes a day, as well as dieting do for me?
My height is 4'10" and my weight is 97 99 pounds. If I run on a treadmill for at least 30 minutes everyday as well as only drink water, and eat healthy food for three months straight, what will it do for me? Side note A lot of people say that I'm at a good weight for my height and age I'm 16 . I know this. I just really like lean bodies. It's just the kind of body shape I like. I also just wan to be fit. I want start making a habit of it now before it's too late.
I'm 42 yr old and recently swtiched from treadmill to elliptical due to knees hurting?
any suggestions how I can get a good workout on elliptical. I don't feel like I'm getting the same results as I did w my treadmmill. My elliptical has 14, 30 minute programs..and you can manually change incline..I would like to see some results..any suggestions..and can you lose weight using an elliptical if so should I be working out longer?? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Should I buy a treadmill?
I can't decide if it would be irresponsible. My husband and I both have fulltime jobs. I have about 30,000 in savings. I'd like to use anout 900.00 of my savings to purchase the treadmill that I've dreamed of owning for a long time. It is normally 2199.99, but is on sale. However, I told myself that i wouldn't touch my savings which I have growing as mutual funds.Thing is, I have been struggling with my weight for years. I desperately want to meet my goals. I don't have enough discipline to make it to the gym five to six times a week and I do not like exercising outdoors. The weather is also an issue in the winter.What would you do?I'd also like to mention that I love running. I used to run at least 45 minutes straight without stopping most days of the week. But, life got in the way and making it to the gym is no longer simple. I'm basically at square one again. I wanted to increase that time, but the opposite happened.I don't like steppers, elypticals or most other exercise machines. I did did use to do cycling rpm classes, however the bikes were pro and probably much more than I can afford. I continue to enjoy running more. The treadmill is on sale for 799.99 plus tax.I'd be doing the running in addition to weight trainig and ither exercise.
Where could I find/purchase a treadmill with a 400 to 450lb weight capacity?

I usually jog at 12 13km hour 7.5 8 miles per hour and I can run 8.5km 5 miles in 45 minutes. Am i running at a fair enough speed or am I slow in comparison to most?? 18, male, 180cm sorry i know there's no clear cut answer to this question, feel free to answer with what speed distance you run, and whether you think im unfit etc.

Hour a day on the Treadmill, Low Weight loss?
I am a 21 year old 5'8 male. I've been going on the treadmill for 45 minutes to an hour for 6 out of 7 days a week for the past 4 weeks, and doing weight training for about 5 minutes each day with dumbbells. I was originally 186 pounds, and after 4 weeks I have only lost 3 pounds 183 now . It seemed really insignificant to me, as I've heard stories of people losing 2 4 pounds a week with far less time spent on the treadmill. My diet is around 1800 2100 calories a day roughly , and I only get fast food once a week such as taco bell, subway, or sometimes a burger .There isn't anyone around me who is educated on physical training diet, so I decided I'd ask here. I've come up with some possibilities of my own, such as that I might be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat which is why I'm not losing weight although I am still losing fat , but I don't have very hard legs or biceps, and the time I spend weight training is really minimal... is there anything else I should be doing? Or is this normal?Also, I hadn't exercised seriously on and off, like a few times out of a month for almost 5 years... I was 150 5 years ago when I was still in school with physical education, and had a far unhealthier diet too.

Ok so im usually wonderfully fit but over this past year I have gained about 10 lbs over my beautiful excess weightless abs. I just cant get into the 1200 cal a day routines to shed these ounds quick and my prime source for exercise DDR , well the dance mat doesnt work and i cant get one yet. I also just cant seem to put my heart into biking and running everyday as i would most likely go easy on myself and tire out before im tired which i dont want to do. I think getting a treadmill will work for me as i will be going the same pace the whole time unlike my runs and bikes plus i will be able to do it whenever whether its dark, light, cold, wet or anything. I also think it would be way more efficient on the aspect of doing it for long periods of time as if its in my house i will be able to very easily keep my self entertained with music and such whilst running. Give me your honest answer, do you love your treadmill? do you think it would help me? does it really keep you in shape? would i be able to shed about 10 lbs after a couple weeks of running for at least 1 2 hrs a day?thanks
